STICKING THE BOOT IN

It's sometimes suggested that sports news reporters are obsessed with football to the exclusion of all other sports and it's this that makes it seem that football is more popular than is actually the case.

This week, the News Shopper sports news page has 15 items. 15 of them are about football and none at all about every other sport in the world put together.

BRITAIN FIRST

I've had a bit to say about Britain First lately. Partly this is due to the fact that my favourite Nazi troll, Joshua Bonehill-Paine is in Jail. The other reason is because they have been meddling in the affairs of the Royal British Legion and so I take it personally.

For those of you who don't know, Britain First is a neo-Nazi political party which specialises in taking money from people who believe it will go to injured servicemen and women.

They claim that they defend British culture and support our armed forces. It is said that one picture is worth a thousand words so here are a few pictures.

Here is Britain First leader, Paul Golding attending the Remembrance Day parade at the Cenotaph. Yes , that is a pair of knickers he is wearing on his head. (He was drunk)

Okay, this isn't a picture, it's a video of Paul Golding and another on a stall in Bexhill. They looked like they were collecting for "Help for Heroes" but actually they keep the money for themselves. In the video, Golding is heard to say that this was his job. They have also been in Southend where the Police said that they couldn't do anything about them.

This isn't a very clear image but it shows all you need to know. Two Britain First members posing with two member of the Sea Scouts who were collecting for the poppy appeal. The children in the picture didn't know who they were and wouldn't have been able to stop them even if they did. They claim that they are protecting poppy sellers from 'harrasment'.
The mother of one of the children is shown here on this Facebook screen shot asking them to take the image down but they have refused. Facebook has also refused to act even though one of the girls in the picture is only 12 years old.
What is even more alarming is the fact that one of their senior members, John Broomfield was recently jailed for 6 months for possessing indecent images of children and is on the sex offenders register.
Britain First is also using images of murdered soldier Lee Rigby against the family's wishes. I am not posting the images here.

Britain First has close connection with the Northern Irish terrorist group the Ulster Volunteer Force. Here they are, wondering why this Mosque in Newtonards hadn't been torched yet. The building is actually the local town hall. This image has been taken from their own Facebook page.

DID HE OR DIDN'T HE?

Sing the National Anthem that is.

Jeremy Corbyn is in trouble with the papers again. This time it seems he didn't grovel low enough when placing his wreath on the Cenotaph on Sunday.

They didn't mention the fact that he was the only senior figure to actually stay for the parade and not scuttle off to the VIP party.

They didn't mention that he actually mingled with veterans and spectators, posing for pictures and generally chatting while the leaders of all the other parties were already on their fourth sherry and canapes.

And no, I'm not a Corbyn supporter. I just think credit where credit's due that's all.
